About the course
New York Academy’s SAT Course is a rigorous program designed for high school students who are committed to raising their SAT scores whether they just started preparation or if they are working towards an upcoming exam date. By test day, students should have covered the entire curriculum along with both general and individualized strategies for the exam. Mock exams are given periodically to give students ample practice for the real test.
Running parallel to the SAT Course is the ACT course. Like the SAT, the ACT is a standardized test used as a criterion for determining college admission. The test contains four sections as well, but unlike the SAT, one of the sections is science. Students may choose to send both SAT and ACT scores to colleges, or simply send one or the other. Colleges do not prefer either test over the other.
During the course of the program, New York Academy will help determine which test is best suited for each student to take.
